Residential Interior Design:
Beverly Hills Mansion
There is nothing more glamorous than the elegance of a classical Parisian mansion that Lamia Maalouf (Allied ASID) recently completed. This achievement of designing and decorating this expansive tri-level French Palladian Estate formerly owned by the Saudi Sheik Mohamed al-Fassi.
Inspired by the Chateau de Versailles, the residence reflects the epitome of European elegance. Over 36,000 square-feet of exquisite designs with hand painted details alongside state-of-the-art electronics. An opulent two-story circular staircase is adorned with Calcutta Oro marble and a skylight dome beaming natural lighting with the soft lighting emanating from the stunning chandelier. This wonderful home features limestone floors, hand-carved marble fireplaces, onyx and marble columns, antique mirrors as well as exceptional moldings gilded with 24 carat gilt.
Royal bedroom suites include dressing areas, luxurious baths and private sitting rooms which blend form and function providing a luxurious sense of comfort.
Lamia’s Lebanese family history, education and professional experiences qualified her to manage this assignment. 80% of the beautiful antique furniture was sourced directly in France while the remainder was reproduced locally in Los Angeles in order to add the element of authenticity to the classical design. The gold plated crystal chandeliers were manufactured overseas as well.
